Christian Hospital DiptipurThe Christian Hospital Diptipur offers a healing ministry to the people of Diptipur and its surrounding area. You can read some statistics about the hospital's healing ministry on the Facts Page. The hospital comes under the Sambalpur Diocese of the Church of North India. The Bishop of Samalpur is Rt Rev Dr C K Das and he is based on the Mission Compound at Bolangir.
The town of Diptipur (a name which means "Village of Light") only came into being after the land was chosen as the site for the hospital in the early 1950s.
